Position: Osteopath
Qualifications: B. Health Sci./B. App. Sci. (Osteo) B. Sp & Ex Sci
With over a decade of experience in health, Dr. Liz Iovannella creates a safe, welcoming space for you to achieve your goals. While her expertise spans a diverse range of clients, she now focuses on performance osteopathy for girls, women, and members of the LGBTQI+ community—particularly those involved in sports. This includes local netballers, AFLW players, gym-goers, and semi-professional athletes. Leveraging her Exercise Science background, Liz skilfully balances strength, stress, and recovery to help clients achieve peak performance and prevent injury.
Liz firmly believes that education is the key to moving beyond pain. By understanding the reasons behind discomfort and identifying unique triggers, clients can take control and return to the activities they love. Her diagnostic expertise and hands-on treatments form the foundation of her approach.
Beyond her osteopathy practice, Liz has successfully run a wellness business for teachers, provided tutoring within Indigenous services at RMIT, and served as a group mentor for health sciences students. Since graduating in Exercise Science in 2012, she has recognised the importance of tailoring recovery plans to fit each lifestyle—whether that means lifting children without pain, returning to sport, or working headache-free. Liz collaborates with clients to create personalised plans that may include gym-based rehabilitation, Pilates, structured walking programs, or lifestyle strategies such as mindfulness.
Outside of osteopathy, Liz loves reading romantasy, baking, spending time outdoors and enjoying moments with her two young children.
